Love Fall ... Hate Haze

Linda and I headed out north of Sandy yesterday to take the dogs for a walk. We wanted to go to the park at the old Roslyn Lake, but since they've drained the lake, they don't allow anyone in. It used to be such a nice park and lake, with a trail that went all the way around.
Anyway, we headed down the hill to Dodge Park instead. We had never thoroughly explored this park. It's larger than I had ever realized. During the summer, a lot of people come picknicking and swimming. It was a beautiful day and the fall colors are beautiful. Here's looking back at the bridge: This shot is looking the same direction, farther down a trail. It's the Sandy River:
On our way home, we stopped on Bluff Road just outside of Sandy to check out the view of Mt. Hood. As you can see, the haze was terrible. I almost didn't post this picture because it's so hard to see the mountain, but it was pretty none-the-less:
As I was standing there, a helicopter came by with some load it's dropping off in the old Roslyn Lake bed. Not sure what they're doing, but fun to watch.
